Greatest documentary of Vietnam war ever

Bar none the greatest re telling of the Vietnam war with amazing accounts of soldiers footage and words. This documentary holds no boundaries in this horrible war in all episodes. Put together masterfully in HD and color. Absolutely spot on and ask any Nam vet and they would agree which I think says it all. Great job by the actors portraying these heroes and Michael C Hall narrarates through the whole thing perfectly. If you don't know much about the Vietnam war than watch this and it will tell you everything you need to know ACCURATELY and all FACTUAL. What a great job by the History Chanel bringing the public the realistic side of the Vietnam war. They also did a superb job with WW2 in HD. simply AWESOME and sombering at the same time !!!

THERE'S NO ROOM IN MY CIRCUS TENT FOR YOU !!!!

I agree. As part of the generation that grew up after the war, it was the "great untold secret". It's funny because we were all schooled in the anti-war response (in fact we grew up in that!), but as to the war, our soldiers, the complexities--failures and successes--we were kept in the dark. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this series and how appreciative I am of those who served: both the soldiers in the field and their families back home.

A truly great work.

I also grew up in the shadow of the Vietnam War and other then what a 4 year old remembers from a Walter Cronkite broadcast, most of the collective knowledge comes from movies so it maybe......jaundiced view

I have to remind myself... there are no sets,no actors (yeah the narration is alittle over the top) AND THE FACT THIS FOOTAGE EVEN EXISTS (to me) IS A MIRACLE! And there isn't a Francis Ford Coppola or Oliver Stone behind the camera. Remarkable.
