Why is the background music so lousy?

I have to watch it on mute because the background music is loud and painful. Fire whoever approves the background music (read strangling a million cats) I say!

I never even noticed the background music. When I read your post I made a point to pay attention to it the next time I watched. To me, it doesn't seem very loud at all; much lower than their voices, as it should be.
