Summit mansion

not sure why she left the project before it was complete. And the basement ended up kind is scary--although probably close to what it looked like originally. Didn't really get putting in in-floor heat down there though.

All because of the same reason: the Minnesota winters. In-floor heating is what they do in Canadia and the Northern Midwest because it is extremely efficient and space saving - no radiators, ductwork, etc. And she hasn't been back to Summit because her house got completely trashed when her boiler went out and her pipes frozen then burst while she was in Detroit for Xmas. She had to stop everything to thaw, gut and refurbish her own home.

Is that one of her properties or is she rehabbing it for someone? I really can't see economic sense in putting in an elevator (for what, 80-100K?) for a house that really can't sell for much more than 750,000 given that it is in Detroit.

Also, I kind of liked the 70s kitsch. Cherubs rock!

The Summit mansion is in St Paul, MN. Not in Detroit.

I don't think the Summit mansion was finished either. Usually when she finishes a house she has a "review" at the end of the final episode for that project and I don't remember that for the Summit mansion.

I've read on other sites that she was dating the man who owned the Summit mansion. Apparently the relationship ended before she could finish the house, so she left. She also was dating one or possibly two of the men who were going to buy the Minihaha house, but both of those relationships fell through too, and she was involved in a law suit with one of them. I believe she ended up deciding to live in the auction house herself.
