is everything waterproof?
I'm enjoying this movie a lot but water is drenching down on just about every camera and they don't turn off. Shouldn't of been found footage.

shareIt wasn't found footage.
shareYes and no. In a way it was because of the cut scenes that used video footage. If it wasn't found footage how do you explain the video captured from the school's interior security cameras? The school was completely destroyed, so someone found that footage. Right? I'm pretty sure that counts as found footage even if it was stored off site and someone found it to watch.
You've got to admit that those must have been waterproof cameras though. Why else would Peter (or whatever his name was) offer money for the film from one and insist everyone else keep filming?
Camcorders these days are fairly water-resistant; there's no tape door to let water into the middle of the electronics. You wouldn't want to drop them in a swimming pool unless it's one of the waterproof models, but a bit of rain shouldn't hurt them.
shareTrey had three cameras set up filming the graduation. It was raining for at least a bit before they went inside, so I'm not sure why he made no effort to save them.
