Great CPR Technique, right?

For a man that was married to a nurse and supposedly lived in the same home with the children that got the CPR lessons instead of bedtime stories, he sure did horrible CPR. I bet he did 10-15 chest compressions, then maybe 3 breaths. You and I know, because it was a movie, it worked, but in real life, he would have not have been revived. They could have at least made it realistic. There were several blunders in the storm drain too. When I watch a movie, I want it to be realistic, or the possibility of being that way.

In movies people always do the compressions way too fast but this guy did it waaay faster, it looked ridiculous.

When I saw the CPR scene, I shook my head. He was doing it wrong. Even the form is wrong (keep the arms straight) and I think it's 5 compressions, if I remember right, then equal number of breaths. Every time I watch the movie, I have to fastforward the CPR scene because it kind of bugs me....

And I can't imagine what it would be like if you were trying to remember the correct CPR steps and techniques while doing it on your own son.

You bring up a really good point, Ninkasi. When administering CPR, we may know how to do it, but I can't imagine if it's a family member that you're trying to save. Gary shows desperation. I'm going to watch ITS again; I do like the family hug between father and sons, so heartwarming (and in a lot of disaster movies they kill off a family member or two )

I just got re-certified for CPR, 30 compressions and 2 breaths , 2 compressions every second.

The father's techniques were terrible. ...but who cares he is hot!!!!

It was the overly exaggerated head bobbing that made me laugh. Much like that.
