Worth seeing for the sfx alone

Yes, there's copious empty-headed dialogue and a blatant lack of scientific authenticity, but no worse than what we were subjected to in "Twister" (but with a mercifully shorter running time). With 20 more years of technological advances, it's no surprise that the effects are far better than those in "Twister," and if you have to check your brain at the door, it's fun to sit back and watch scene after scene of thoroughly eye-popping special effects sequences. In that area alone, "Storm" delivers the goods, big time.

It's like a drama or thriller with an idiotic plot but tons of eye candy nudity -- you don't see it to stimulate your mind, but it still fills a need. "Storm" is largely cinematic junk food, but who here doesn't enjoy a bucket of butter-drenched popcorn on occasion? Watch it for "cheap gratification" and you will get plenty of it.

My people skills are fine. It's my tolerance of morons that needs work.

Yes, I agree with all your comments. The film was better than I expected and thank goodness wasn't totally found footage, as I began to expect after the introduction. The SFX were very good, with the tornadoes being creepily authentic looking. I also enjoyed seeing the bat mobile put in an appearance.🐭
