sleeper of a movie, but good

This movie is apparently a sleeper; not many ratings, and no board posts.
I liked the serious message in this film.
It's not subtle, and it's a bit choppy, but good overall.
Watch it, and learn something about how/why these things happen.

i agree that the message is poignant, but unfortunately this mess of a film does not do it justice.

the acting is mostly non-existent, with the actors always looking like they were trying to avoid looking at the camera or utterly bemused by the equally terrible dialogue they were given. you know the script and directing has problems when Sir Ben has problems delivering his lines. the local actors were also obviously dubbed over.

now i understand that some of the poor acting and excessive zoom-in camera work could be "bollywood-inspired", but the jarring B-movie feel just grates on your nerves as you try to follow the serious drama.

it's just a huge pity that the script and directing was so poorly executed. the film's premise and plot could easily rival Pelham 1-2-3 or The Ledge, but the suspense and thrill were replaced with ruinous B-grade bollywood cliches.

Actually, it is the plot that is Bollywood inspired, nothing else. I have not seen the movie yet but people who have seen it claim that the original Bollywood version called "A Wednesday!" (which I have seen), with basically the same plot, is several times better particularly owing to the actors' performance.

It was quite awful. I only watched this because I'm a fan of Kingsley, and he was actually quite bad in this movie. As another poster replied, the script was terrible so I can understand that even a great actor like Kingsley couldn't save it.

Although I didn't hate the movie, I still have to say that absolutely nothing in this movie was good. The script, as mentioned earlier, was terrible. The editing was ridiculous. The camera work was also bad. There was one scene with Ben Cross when the scene started with the camera zoomed in and then started to zoom out and it was blurry - and it wasn't intentional.

I understand that this must probable had almost zero budget (yet somehow they could pay Kingsley?), but when you try that hard and can't even hire local actors that don't know how to act, it's difficult to find it interesting.

If you're a hardcore Kingsley fan then it might be worth watching, otherwise stay away.
