I like the idea of it. I've not seen "A Wednesday" but I do like the idea that is trying to be conveyed. I once heard (years ago) that Harrison Ford was going to play a character who assassinated criminals, terrorists, rapists etc, etc. I don't think it got made but does anyone know any similar themed movies (but better than the one I just watched!!!).

the closest one for me would be a new show, The blacklist.

Ben Kingsley's Suspect Zero has a relatively similar plot and is far better than the common man.

Watch the original, it's a fantastic film.
