Another America hating Hollywood garbage pile?

I hope not but it tends to be the case out of Hollyweird...

Could you list a few recent examples from that "America hating Hollywood garbage pile"? I'm having a problem thinking of any.

reply

The events of this film happen AFTER Captain America is frozen in the ice. So, Tommy Lee Jone's character from that movie might be a little bitter.

kbcoops, does every movie have to be a revisionist propaganda piece showcasing american moral superiority? Cus that's what it seems like all people like you want to see.

You mean how the quote "American hating Hollywood garbage" seem to rewrite history to give America all the credit for everything. Argo and U571 come to mind.
But of course the usual excuse is, "Hey it's only a movie, not a documentary."
Heck, I met an American a while back who thought that they were the only ones fighting the Japanese in World War Two. He thought that all the rest of the allies were fighting in Europe and the Yanks were on their own in the east. A million men in the Commonwealth 14th army and he'd never heard of them.

reply

A lot of photos I've seen of WWII feature an international cast of soldiers ranging from Indian, Aussie, American, Filipino and East Asian.

The 14th army was made up of: English, Irish, Welsh, Scots, New Zealanders, Australians, NewFoundlanders, Canadians, South Africans, Chinese, East and West Africans, Chins, Kachins, Karens, Burmans, Sikhs, Pathans, Garhwalis, and Gurkhas.

The OP is clearly an idiot. What's annoying is that some people will assume he is a typical American. He is not.

If he even is an American. I've noticed lately a few Europeans have come on these boards pretending to be knuckle-dragging Americans

Its no secret that Hollywood is largely sympathetic to the extreme left. This movie does very well to capture a part of history that is largely forgotten now, and the pressure that both General Fellers and McArthur were under to arrest, try and execute the emperor. It was something of a miracle that they were able to get sufficient information to counter the pressure from Washington.

I really hate our history classes, for it took me 21 years to learn this. Jesus Christ.
