Spoiler Question/Opinion

Just finished the series, and after discovering how Tui could be impregnated without knowing it (date rape drugs), I thought back to when Robin had dinner at Al's house. She got ridiculously "drunk" and passed out, which meant he had to dress her and let her sleep in his bed. I thought that when that first happened that it was a little suspicious, but I wasn't sure if Al was a bad guy yet. But, now I'm thinking that he definitely did rape her, and had intended to the entire time (because he drugged her wine, and probably got turned on by talking about her rape experience). Still not sure about the marriage proposal/his interest in her otherwise, though. Was he actually interested, or just trying to distract her in a way? It's just that I think having her in his house would kind of ruin his sex ring thing....
