What a sappy soppy *beep*

Except Mya and Tara, every other character was wafer thin. And the ending was so hopeless. I get it, it is supposed to be a romantic movie. But please, why the *beep* did Jack leave his family for Mano's. I really wished he would continue to stay in the states and take care of Tara as his own daughter. That would have been a better movie. The movie tries too hard to be intelligent and dramatic when its actually a sappy melodramatic romance!
