Somethings about Islam....

Some people are judging Islam based upon the events of this movie. I would like to clarify a few things as being a Muslim.

1. This is a fictional movie.
This is just a fictional movie nothing else. Don't take your history lessons from it.

2. Islam doesn't hurdle Science.
Islam isn't against advancement in Science but in fact encourages to learn about the universe and everything that's in it. The leaders in the movie trying to destroy the university only did so for political gain. Also the era shown in the film is widely accepted by the majority of the historians as a shining time for science and technology.

3. Ibn Sina isn't portrayed correctly in the film.
First there's very little shown about Ibn Sina in the film, then most of it different from the reality for the sake of the story. Interestingly, he did autopsies even in his youth. Read about Ibn Sina, you will be amazed.

4. Islam doesn't hold a grudge against Christianity specifically.
It is shown in the film that Jews were allowed to enter Arab while Christians weren't. Don't think that this means Islam particularly hates Christians or something. It isn't the case.

There, I said it.
