Does it have a deeper meaning?

I got a feeling like this movie is supposed to 'mean' something more than just 4 wild bitches on Spring Break ending up partnering up with gangsta rapper where sh!t get violent.

I think potentially it's meant to be a symbolism for losing your virginity or innocense or something in the line of that but that is just a possibility and I wouldn't ask if I knew for sure.

With or without deeper meaning I still enjoy it though.

A good father and a good outlaw can't settle inside the same man.

I believe it is about temptation....and also what some now consider a "spiritual experience." I feel it is much deeper than meets the eye as well

Everyone dies in the movie... they get on a bus, means they are dead, walking to eternity to the end of a pier= dead. And Alien was a grim reaper who dies when his job is done.

Either that or they be dumb white trash who are being suffocated by the thick D in their throats and are hallucinating being gangsta bitches

Interesting theory. I myself feel Franco is the devil in the movie. Tempting the girls. That's why faith leaves so quickly. It said that benson and hudgens characters have "demon blood." Which is why they endure till the end

Except the girls take control. They are the Anti-heroes. Temptation is a theme but so is the Womens Power Movement. It's flips everything on its head. Korine added the scenes that look like Music Videos/Beer Commercials etc to counter the reality of the lifestyle of the people in those areas of Florida, I.E, what the girls wanted to be apart of. Reality and Fantasy... And the consequences that exist

The dark side of spring break.

I think its meant to be a cautionary tale for millennials. The director wanted to show the "living it up" way of life that so many young people strive for and the consequences of that lifestyle.
