The intent of the movie

So if the intent of the movie was to convey that one can be in a state commonly called "having everything in live", meaning money, beautiful women and being surrounded by beauty, yet still feel an intense boredom and hollowness inside ... well, mission accomplished. In this movie, I was surrounded by beauty and I still felt an intense boredom.

But wouldn't it have been a much more impressive feat artistically to convey the hardship and suffering of the 1% to me without boring me half to death in the process?

Sorry, missed your post. The movie was released in Germany and the Netherlands pretty early, then Taiwan, since then a couple of other places: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2101383/releaseinfo

I just watched the trailer for this and I can honestly say that there isn't one good reason to see this movie. It looked boring, it looked pretentious and not worth walking across the street to see it if it were free.
