My only complaint....

Was the fact they could of made her more "deformed." This was a woman who was supposed to be deeply affectef emotionally and pshyically from her accident, but she was still pretty and not so bad looking in my opinion. I guess the director thought if she looked like Sloth, Collin Farrells character wouldnt want to bang her.

i agree. i think they made her too pretty fir the plot to make sense. the fact that she worked in beauty before May explain why her situation may look as it does for her but if she lets her hair cover her face a little and wears sunglasses you can't even tell. there is no reason for the kids to call her monster like they did.

if they had made her look more like twoface it would work better I think.

reply

Yeah that was poorly done. She wasn't that deformed. A scar of that size on just a part of her face would not lead to kids calling her monster, and it made the audience not get it either.

Wasn't she supposed to be a model in the movie? How many models have you seen in real life with any sort of scars on their faces?

She couldn't pursue her dreams...not that far fetched.

She said she'd been a beautician and that her scars would put prospective customers off.

I agree with just about all the comments above. The scars aren't all that visible and you tend to forget about them a lot during the film. I think Niels Arden Oplev tried to have his cake and eat it; create this poor, scarred tragic victim, but who would still be appealing to Victor. Rapace and Farrell are great together, but the physical scarring becomes a very minor issue.

She could have gone to a plastic surgeon and that was the best the plastic surgeon could do?
