Dumbest *beep* ive seen

I was trying to put on something nice to watch and this *beep* was the only movie on. God why did I continue watching.

reply

I wasn't expecting anything worth watching. The only reason to be watching TV on Sunday nights is Pan Am, and that wasn't on tonight.

As The Critic (Jon Lovitz' cartoon character) says, if you can see the original or the remake, see the original! That would be SpaceCamp from 1986. Much better in every way.

reply

The original SpaceCamp seems to be about a group accidentally launched into space. How is that like this movie? From what I'm seeing, it didn't get a good review.

This movie was excellent in everyway - when a movie seems 'real' and the viewed begins to root for the little guy, it's a good movie.

So much can be learned on all fronts via this movie. If DoNotDisturb doesn't like the bleeping movie then pershaps DoNoDisturb needs to shut off the television and find something else to do.

BTW, I, too, love Pan Am. My line up on Sundays is Once Upon A Time, Desperate Housewives, and Pan Am.

:)

Have a good one...

It's not *beep* its about the story line. It is a great way to look past what others view people of. And if you couldn't just sit and watch it, then you sure must have a problem with people who are "different".

I liked this movie, they didn't back down when people told them they couldn't do something. And it goes to show that anyone and I mean anyone can do whatever they want to do.

I Agree Wishin 10... I must say if anyone doesn't have their heart strings pulled by watching this movie, I have high doubts they have a heart at all themselves.

... End of line.

Dear Donotdisturbx9:

It's a real shame that your outlook on life is so negative, unfortunately this is not only a reflection of your upbringing, your lack of maturity, but also of how unsuccessful your life will be in the future. It is never too late to change and I hope that in the near future, you can find the positive in the things around you and not just the negative.

reply

What the hell are you talking about? How can you judge that from someone not liking an awful movie like this? You're an idiot, and if you truly believe that not liking this movie makes someone all of the things you listed then you have something wrong with you.

Thank you for your unsolicited defense of one who is perfectly capable of defending herself. I just found your post today or I would have answered sooner, although I don't know why you would want to dredge up something that is 3 years old. Further, I am only answering your post to point out your short-sightedness at defending someone who has had 3 years to defend herself and have chosen not to. therefore, yours is a senseless and unnecessary effort.

My opinion in this matter was based on not only this post, but of others of hers at the time and including this one that were negative in general and fit into the categories that I pointed out. If I remember correctly, there were 3 or 4 other comments that you probably haven't seen or are aware of that lead me to the conclusion that I came to. Therefore your reply in defense of this poster was based on incomplete information. What exactly the other posts were has long been deleted from my memory, but I seem to remember that they were immature and negative enough in context that I pointed it out to her in the hopes that the poster would take a look inside of herself as to her negativity and hopefully in the future start looking at life in more of a positive manner.

It had nothing to do at all with her liking or not liking this movie, that is a free speech issue which I do not trample, Hers was an issue with attitude over several posts.

This movie was really good and a nice change of pace from some of the crap on Sunday nights.

reply

No, it's no blockbuster, it will win no Oscars or anything like that. The movie was B list as far as production. But it has a good story and message. It was not dumb. It was nice. It was heartwarming. I'm not gonna go as far to say you, donotdisturdx9, have no heart but your heart must be hard to be so negative toward this film.

Hi All, My Name is Chelsea Monroe, I am 23 years old, When I was born all those years ago, my parents were soo happy to be having a little baby girl, but when I couldn't talk, when I should have;they thought it was very abnormal. When I was four I started to talk and even then I was put into Speech Therapy Classes.

My School Years were very hard with a Reading, Writing, Math Disabilities. I remember having my shoes tied together and many others picking on me. I also remember hearing some teachers telling my parents that "If I graduate High School it would be a Miracle".

Even to this day its still a struggle to over come my disabilities but I push through and have graduated from High School, taken a few years of College before I left Michigan to live and work at Disney World here in Orlando, FL as a Photographer. When people meet me they might brush me off as weird, but when they get to know me and find out I had went through this they are very surprised that I overcame a Disability, even that I had one.

Why I thought this movie was great was because its a movie about Special Education that is meaningful and shows that Smiles are as big as the moon and you can do anything you set your mind too......just look at me :) -Chelsea
