Turtleman?

Why is he living so poor? He's on a TV show and he has no bathtub or shower? He bathes in a barrel and lives in a shack in the woods. He keeps saying "live action" and it's like his trademark now. How old is he? I wonder why he does not get his teeth fixed with all the money he's making from the show?
I would like to see some different episodes except him catching snapping turtles, snakes and racoons all the time.

Some people are just happy living the way they are. It is only a show so idk how real a lot of it is but he doesn't get paid much by the looks of it by what they say each job of his gets at the end of each segment.

He's just a true, happy, hillbilly wildman.

I love all the random stuff he does. I love his dog Lolly, his mouse trap snake and even his local towns celebration of Ham Days. LOL. It's a funny show!

Of course Animal Planet is paying him. I just think no matter how much money the man has he will live as he always has. He doesn't need or require much. He's happy with very little.

I'm a friend of a friend, and although I'm not stating this as fact, I heard he only makes $1500 per episode. That's 18 grand for 12 episodes. I also heard if his show gets renewed for a 2nd season his salary will go up to $7500 per episode.

He is hilarious, I cant stop laughing about him bathing in a big plastic bin, and he uses rain water, I think he really likes to live on the land. His mother lives in a regular house.

Whatever floats his boat, he seems really happy with life the way it is. And if he's happy then I'm happy lol

If he is gett8ng sprayed by skunks and getting paid a jar of honey, or risking his life tunneling through a mine in Kentucky to trap a beaver and only getting a chunk of coal, you have to wonder if this is just scripted this way to give him a bigger fanbase for people feeling for him, by risking his life for pennies on the dollar.

listen, he is for real, he never was out to make a lot of money, that's just not his thing. he is into nature and being natural. he doesn't drink or smoke and such. he lives simply and does what he does because he loves it. when i first met him back in 2007, i think, he was wearing that same hat with the feather and giving that same rebel yell. he only charged a dollar for his up close and personal show and was a pure joy to be around. he would squat down and talk to the kids and sign their paper and give them box turtles to hold. he has a lot of Native American blood and i think that is part of why he is so good with nature. the man has been catching snappers for years and years. like another poster said, he is authentic. i can vouch for him because i met him way back before any of this TV stuff.
