Lolly in back of truck

Doesn't he know by letting Lolly stay in back of truck free she could die if he had to stop quickly. Putting her on a rope or chain is just as had. She could fly over the side and hang herself. A fencing should be put over the entire bed which is the only way to protect her. This comes from the SSPCA and Humane Society

reply

Nobody drives around with fencing on the back of their pickup truck to keep their dogs in.

I have yet to see anyone drive around with fencing in the bed of their truck to keep their dogs 'safe'. If you're a defensive driver, your dog is pretty damn safe.

He is in the country. I grew up watching dogs in the backs of trucks both pickups and flatbeds. It was only in the 70's when dogs had to be chained in the back and the 90's when you could not have dogs in the back due to their feet getting burned from the hot metal of the bed of the truck. The dogs are pretty good at riding. Hope you never come to the country anywhere on this continent. You will see this everywhere. You sound like a city person or a stupid animal rights advocate. Get realistic!

reply

So a person who is concerned about the well being of an animal is stupid? Makes you sound like a dumb redneck animal abuser and I hope you get caught abusing your animals and thrown in jail. My family is from the country and we protect our dogs and let them ride in the cab so they don't get hurt, your just an inbred hick.

reply

If you make the rope short enough that the dog can't hop over the side of the truck, then it's perfectly safe. I had a yellow lab that lived to be 13 years old and never once got in trouble in the back of my truck this way. He loved it.
