Is it over? A lot was unresolved...

The Imdb page shows it as 2011 - so maybe there's more seasons to come, at least I hope so.

But seems like a lot of people are referring to this as a concluded series that won't be continuing, if so there are a ton of unresolved story arcs and that would be a bit disappointing.

Some of the stuff was only tangentially introduced, like the girl with the destroyed body and super-hearing trying to track down the various symphonies of hell (seems like there would be at least a season-long arc there) but other stuff is pretty central to the main storyline/characters. Hisoka never tracks down and fights the leader of the Spiders? Killua never faces down his brother Illumi (well aside from that blink-and-you-missed-it encounter where Illumi is teleported back home). The big showdown between Gon and Hisoka that's been hinted at all the way back to season1 never happens? That's a pretty big ingredient to the story not to include and just to end it all. And whatever happened to Kurapika, why is he not answering his phone, yet we see the girl with the superhearing who was his partner reappear at the ending season, surely there's a story arc there, and let's not forget all the Phantom Troupe members he has yet to hunt down and bring to justice. And Leorio needs his own story arc too.

Even if this is the absolute end, I admit I really liked HunterXhunter, it's kind of the 'Game of Thrones' of Anime.
