4/10. Here's why:

HIT & RUN has the style of a 1990s indie movie, the plot of a 1970s B-movie and the quality of a modern Hollywood movie. It has fun characters and great pacing, but it's unoriginal and not very funny. I know that Dax Sheppard and Kristen Bell support gay rights. Good job, guys. But that doesn't mean that Sheppard (who wrote the script) had to insert conversations about it. They didn't fit in any of the scenes they were in.

Any thoughts?

He can insert whatever he wants into his script. Are you a writer? You can usually tell if someone is racist, homophobic, or sexist by elements in their script/movie. Our personal feelings resonate through our creative outlets. If Spike Lee had never done an interview in his life, I'd still know he hates white devil from watching his movies. Just like I know Ice Cube hates gays by his writing style/film choices.
