shareDepends on the rancher and how many acres he/she has. If ranchers have three different crops, as my friend's father had, they can't possibly buy different equipment for each crop. Often they will either MacGyver something to the tractor or --shocker-- use pickers.

this movie is filled with fiction, like the fact that a football coach know everything about long-distance running, or at least enough to win a championship on first try.
They were knocking the trees in the 60's, before they went to shakers, which damaged the trees less. Haven't seen the movie, but certainly no hand picking.
