Is this a famous quote from someone or an excerpt from a famous piece of literature?

Joy says she read it somewhere but when Anger asks where she doesn't go into detail. Could she have read it or heard it somewhere, or did she just make it up as a positive way of looking at a drab bedroom?

I can't say if she made it up on the spot or actually read it (though her dismissing Anger makes me think the former), but a Google search turns up nothing for the phrase itself, so I think the movie made it up.

Sorry I can't answer your question, but I just love the way Anger responds, "Where did you read that?" It's so weirdly-antagonistic/suspicious/threatened/accusatory.
