why oh why??? (spoiler)

Did she not just hit him when he ran in front of the car?? DUH! It would obviously been self defense, but then again I also understand it's just a movie, but still. lol

Actually, a good movie.. Done a little differently.. I liked it

reply

I know! And that's exactly what I expected her to do...of course.

I liked the movie, but I do think they drew the ending out to a ridiculous point. It seemed as though they had determined the film would be exactly X number of minutes long & so dragged out the ending until they reached that number.

Sing until your throat hurts, dance until your legs hurt, act until you're William Hurt.

So I really liked the movie as a thriller because the car thing was the only "dumb" move made. In hindsight though, it didn't make sense for her to fall into an affair so easily--with her husband in town and her family still reeling from his infidelity.

Spoilers***

I had a bigger issue with how the guy, after getting beat up by the husband & his family members, suddenly is at full strength to beat the husband to death with a bat, a few hours later. Did no one else listen to how genuinely psychotic EVERYTHING that guy said was, while sitting at the table? I'm sorry but this guy should have been, & probably realistically would have been, beaten to total immobility. How you don't completely beat this guy's sh*t senseless is beyond me. No way should he even be able to walk. Limp away sure, but walk away & find his way to the husband's trailer? No. I stopped caring about the film from that point on

Then as for not hitting him with the Van....I actually accepted that. Truth is, even in this scenario, can you say honestly say that you would just flatten this person? It was really just instinct. Don't think she wanted blood on her hands either

Come to think of it though...if she loved her husband...She'd probably just crush the guy. If, her husband in a body bag, being tossed threw her front door wasn't enough of a green light to just kill this MFer, then what is?

totally agree with you, nycishomexxx. ***SPOILERS****

I thought it was so cool that her husband had all that back-up at the restaurant. I thought he would have only brought like one person and they both would have gotten hurt for being so foolish to come as just two like they were Mormons. So when he started telling the guy that all those male friends and family members were there and the restaurant owner locked the door I was like "Yes!". But to beat him up a little? Are you kidding me? This insane dude took your kid and you had no idea where he was. This is not someone to beat up lightly. And if the wife told her husband that he went after the corrupt doctor and almost killed the other girl he stalked then that would be even more of a reason to really hurt him. This is someone you beat within the inch of their life then cut off their legs and blind them--or just blind them! So they can't find there way to your home to decapitate you!

reply

Agreed, the husband and his peeps should've beaten the guy half to death. To the point he would've been unrecognizable. Then he may have thought twice about retaliation.

That was the only part of the film that took me out of the moment/had me going, "WTF!?" In reality, after how those five dudes and the husband beat him down like he stole from them, there's no way in hell IRL he would have been able to make it back to their home THAT fast. Not after that serious a**-kicking he got. That was just some real slasher movie cliche bull**** which didn't even belong in this film, good as it had been up until that point. And what he did to the husband---I was like, "Oh, come the fck on---why did they even have to go there? More slasher film bull****!" That was a scary-a** scene though, I won't lie. First time I've seen a film where a Mormon missionary-in-training turns out to be a scary, crazed psycho stalker, though--that was certainly different.

Movie was pure regurgitated, lazy written crap. Shocked people liked it. Guess they just like seeing the same movie over and over.

reply

It was a different take on stalker films. No one expects the Mormons.
