Watching this right now, and Nicole looks NOTHING like Grace Kelly

Major miscast. Huge fail.

I think Nicole Kidman is a great actress, but the fact that she looks nothing like Grace Kelly really took away from the movie.

Based on IMBd Trivia section:

Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt, Charlize Theron, Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Rosamund Pike, Amy Adams, January Jones and Elizabeth Banks were among those considered to play Grace Kelly.

Interesting - of all those actresses listed, I still can't pick which one would have been better suited. Rosamund Pike maybe? But even that is a stretch.

Unfortunately Nicole Kidman looks NOTHING like Nicole Kidman anymore... Botox city...

The Problem was/is they have a 45 year old Kidman playing a 30 year old Kelly.

So I agree that this was a casting mismatch.

I believe the French version had a different actress in the role.

Julie Bowen. I always thought she would make a good Grace Kelly but alas they had to get a "star" to try to generate interest.

I wouldn't think it would bother the younger generation that Kidman doesn't look like Kelly, but those of us who actually remember Grace Kelly would mind.
