Since this movie doesn't pretend to be 100% realistic I was wondering if Maria Callas and Grace Kelly spent really so much time together as in the picture where they seem to be best friends.
I wonder also if princess Antoniette [SPOILER AHEAD] was really capable to plot again his brother in order to steal his throne.

There are dozens of photos of them together-- Now whether that was just a courtesy or a duty.. I don't know (from what I do know I would think they are all gritting their teeth under those smiles)but there were also rumors that Prince Rainer and Maria were VERY close before he married Grace (and possibly after too).
Prince Rainier and Aristotle Onassis were in a huge conflict over the gaming and SBM (Société des Bains de Mer de Monaco) which controls the gaming and the three big resorts at the time in Monoaco.
I don't really know anything bout the Princess Antoinette (although I do remember something about it just no details) other than her issue was Christian de Massey (and his 2nd of 4 wives-Michelle de Massey) were a part of the jet set junkie crowd /Eurotrash that now includes a red headed American ex pat/ex actress named Lindsey. Her death was quite tawdry and included another shipping heir.

-one thing to add the stuff with Princess Antoinette usurping the throne happened in 1950 and the movie takes place in 1962. I became curious so I googled her-quite the eccentric character she was.
Its almost a Disney princess version of her life. fiction.
