It's a MOVIE, get over it.

There's a reason there was a disclaimer a the beginning of the film about it being fictional. It's not a documentary. Get over it. And I'm saying this as someone who wasn't neither particular fond nor disgusted by the film. Hollywood makes movies. This is a movie that does not claim to be absolute truth.

But it not being truthful isn't the problem with this film. It's just really badly made. I was so disappointed in it as I had been waiting for this film to come out (which pretty much never happened in the US, except for when it was 'turned' into a TV movie). I loved the premise and the story when I heard the announcement of when they were going to make it, as it had it all: Monaco and the crisis it went through with France and how Grace Kelly became the charm-tool to convince De Gaulle not to go through with his plans for the tiny
Principality. I don't even have an issue with the casting. But the execution is just laughable. The dialogue is bad, the direction is all over the place and the whole thing just looks like a cheap TV movie of the week which it ended up becoming. Too bad really because they really had all the elements to make this an amazing film.
