First Movie I Couldn't Finish Because of Imagery

Though I did find the content of the movie to be disturbing, that isn't the reason I couldn't finish it.

It was how bizarre the imagery was, rather than its disturbance factor. The smiley-faces, the flaming balls, the religious imagery, that stupid dog...it just became too much for me. It was like trying to look at a picture through a kaleidoscope...all the other colors and images became too distracting and I lost sight of the original image I was trying to focus on.

I don't know what the message of the film was - or even if it had one. I would think that with all the other-worldly imagery that some meaning must have been intended by the creators, but really, it was all lost on me in the unfortunate execution.

Shame.
