Was Sophie part of the Assassin bloodline?

I could have sworn that one of the female Assassins that were surrounding Cal looked exactly like Sophie and she recognized that, too. That's why their bodyguard had to physically drag her off, to board the helicopter. Did anyone else see this?

I have something to say; Its better to burn out, than to fade away!!!

I thought I saw her there too, in the white robe.

reply

I did, too. I expected some huge moment of revelation after that, but I guess we'll have to wait for the sequel.

reply

I saw her too. If I'm misremembering Cal was seeing only his ancestors, so does that mean Sophie and Cal are related somehow?

reply

It definitely looked like her although the scene was kind of dark and unclear. it makes sense really, the Templar's using her without her realizing herself she's apart of the brotherhood.

reply

Just returned from seeing the film. That ancestor was a definite likeness of Sophie, hence why she was so shocked. As mentioned Cal noticed it too.

It was pretty much a nod I felt to Lucy Stilman from the first Assassin's Creed games. She was at first helping Desmond with his kidnapping by Abstergo and was later revealed to be an assassin.

reply

Yeah, but Lucy ended up being a Templar pretending to be an Assassin pretending to be a Templar.

Loved that scene. It was clear it was her and she recognized that. However, consideribg the end of the movie, it will be conflicting for her due to what she said after her father's death by Cal's hand.

reply

yes. she was there.
oouldnt understand her stupid behaviour at the end - letting him kill her father first then swearing to take revenge... why didnt she try to stop him or why couldnt she accept the killing...

reply

I agree, her reaction to the killing of her father was strange. She saw Cal and knew he was going to try to retrieve the apple and endanger/kill her father yet she stood still, letting it all happen, not warning anyone. And then, once the deed was done, she made an about face swearing vengeance for her father's death. So why did she let him die then if it was not what she wanted?

One of the elder Assassin ancestors definitely looked like her so there might be some revelation on it if there is a sequel.

reply

She was probably faking it to maintain her position within the Templar Order. Staying in gives her access to find out the truth.

reply

I guess we will find out in the sequel.
