Whose moronic idea was it to flip flop in between present day and 1492 Spain? What we got was two half baked narratives. The movie should have been like 20 minutes of Fassbender getting introduced along with the animus.

He then gets thrown into it for the next hour and 20 minutes his ass stays in it. Then the last 20 minutes he can break out.

1492 Spain should have been explored more along with the Spanish Fassbender. It was ducking irritating having to watch those action scenes with cutting back and forth between the present day and 1492 Spain.

Little to no character development and the dialogue was cringe at times.

Cast was wasted on this crap. 4/10

Do you know anything about the games? No? Then shut-up. Because that is exactly what the games do in terms of the story.

99% of the AC games take place in the past, with a tiny bit set in the future with Desmond. The OP's totally right.
