Angry Fans Slam Starz and Threaten To Not Watch

I completely understand the anger fans are feeling. Last year STARZ had a cool poster for the second season with Da Vinci falling from the sky with broken wings and an epic two and a half minute trailer with Hurts' song "The Road". It's close to June now and there has been no promotion for season three except for a twenty second teaser that Starz posted in December of last year.

I think it's pretty obvious that STARZ does not care about this show now that they have other hits in "Outlander" and "Black Sails". The pessimist in me predicts the following to happen:

1.STARZ will announce that season three will air in July or August. Following this announcement, there will be very minimal promotion. The cast will continue to promote it on Twitter but even they don't know what's going to happen next.

2. Season three will end on a cliffhanger. There will be no news about Season 4 for another month after that and then it will be announced that STARZ has cancelled the show.

It pains me to say all that and I seriously hope I'm wrong but all the evidence points to STARZ just trying to find the emptiest weeks in July and August, burning off the episodes, and then quietly cancelling the show.

I just hope there's some closure to season three or maybe even an additional 6 episode mini series to tie everything up for the fans.

Yeah, this show is probably getting cancelled. I hope the writers had that possibility in mind when writing the final episodes so that they'll tie things up.

Not cancelled, they already shot all episodes for the 3rd season a long time ago. There is even a youtube video of the cast at some Comic-Con talking about season 3. I have a feeling the network saw the final product and were not satisfied and rejected airing it without corrections.

This feels like a contractual squabble too. Someone is holding out on legalities.

I know season 3 is shot, what I meant was that this show might not get a 4th season. I remember hearing a few months ago that they were doing some reshoots. I'm just speculating here, but perhaps they heard that they're getting cancelled, but were able to get a deal from Starz to film new scenes, thus giving the show a proper ending. This could be one explanation as to why it's taking so long.

I tend to doubt STARZ would make a decision to cancel before airing the episodes to see it's reception by the fans. More likely imho STARZ didn't like the product they got and demanded it get reworked before airing. I am guessing that there is a bit of a power struggle going on between STARZ and the new Showrunner John Shiban. Not sure but I understand Shiban may want to work on the X-Files Revival. That's where he made his name with James Wong and Vince Gilligan.
