Why did they stream season 3 ??

I finally felt like watching the show and I was very impressed (so far). I'm in the middle of season 2 and the show I find very entertaining. I had a question as to why season 3 was streamed ??
Was it not going well with the audience for Starz to go week to week or is the IMDb list just wrong ??
Did it really fall off for the end of season 2? What's the deal ?
So far I am enjoying season 2 very much .

Well it was the last season, and more and more networks are experimenting with releasing shows at once. NBC did it with Aquarius, We TV did it for South of Hell, etc. Probably just seeing how people watch it. As a premium network it doesn't matter how people watch or when, really, just that their subscribers stay subscribed and their content attracts new people.
