Was this always just an Amazon original movie or was it supposed to be released into theaters? I thought I remember seeing trailers for it in the theaters, but don't remember them saying it was going to be an Amazon movie. I was looking forward to seeing it as my dad has told me this story repeatedly. I do have Amazon prime, so I will watch it soon.

Thanks. Must not have been a wide release. It never showed I our local theaters.
