Why ?

Why? Do a movie that wasn't major news in Elvis Presleys life I'm a massive Elvis fan but I don't think I'll be seeing this . A true biopic of his life should be done and yes I do recall this is Elvis which wasn't a true biopic good film but not a bio pic as such

I have to agree. Not sure what the point of this movie is.

Because it's wreckable!

It's not a biopic. It's a story based on one particular incident.

If you don't think it was 'major news', that's up to you.

But, by all means exercise your right to not see it. I doubt I will either. Made for cinema, great. Made for television, if I must. Made for DVD, if it looks like stupid fun. Made for Amazon, no thanks.

Never defend crap with 'It's just a movie'

I watched it on a 'plane, and was disappointed, although, as others have said, Kevin Spacey was great, as usual.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

deansaintly: Why? Because it's a fascinating incident about two fascinating people, one who was one of the most popular entertainers ever and another who was one of the most consequential of U.S. Presidents. And because the movie is done with skill and provides a lot of sly fun.

Who said this was a biopic?

Be sure to proof your posts to see if you any words out

For laughs. And plenty of them! People in the theater I was in were laughing non-stop, including me. It's in no way a biopic, and there's no pretense that anything in this film actually happened. If you do decide to watch it, you'll see what I mean.

The photographs of Nixon and Elvis are iconic and extremely hot sellers at places such as the Nixon Library. The idea of these two quintessentially American figures meeting up in secret is full of irony and curiosity.

reply

The movie is not a biopic. It is fiction.

Elvis was born a female, but that won't be in any hollywood version of events.
