I couldn't tell if it was her shtick or not, but did anyone notice how Chelsea Handler seemed to be genuinely disgusted by the porn. She wasn't that funny and her face was pretty sullen. Her episode was weakest of the three that have aired.

shareI've watched all episodes and at this point, even with all the comedians, the most jovial episode featured Bella Donna, Kristina Rose and... um I forget the name of the other porn star. The repartee was inspired. Still, this show is stellar and doesn't seem to have caught on yet. It might not. But it's guaranteed cult status.

It's kinda neat to appreciate a show before anyone else does. Worried it won't catch on. Hopefully the niche this is intended for (anyone with a sense of humor and that happened upon these golden age flicks as a horny teen) helps it stick around. Then again, can't imagine the budget is too high. Season "1" just wrapped itself up at 8 episodes. There'd better be more since my days of sitting around with buddies and MST3King old porn are behind me:(

Now Whitney Cummings is another story. She almost turned me off this whole series. Bringing her on this show, was such a huge mistake. She is obviously against porn, but was trying very hard to hide it.
Miss Cummings has always come off that way to me. She pretends to be a laid back girl, but underneath she's the annoying type of feminist who thinks men hold women down, make them wear high heels and are overall jerks, but they should still under all circumstances pay for everything.
...and I am a woman by the way, so I definitely know these types as soon as I see them.
In retrospect, Handler seems to have aged well as a guest. There's been some lame ducks, not that it ever takes away my enjoyment. It's the only game in town. Still amazed it's in it's 2nd season. Still feels like an inside joke only a few folks I grew up with would get. Was wondering if any females watched it. My wife couldn't get past the grime of certain 70's porn scenes. There were some pretty gross ones in the recent Horror-centric episode. The riffing was hilarious in that episode though.
shareI'm a fan of the show and I love old porn too. The Chelsea Handler is the only episode I really didn't like and wouldn't want anyone else to watch either. Amy Schumer recently couldn't hold her own with Mr. Attell but she was at least nice and game and down for the show. Chelsea just seemed miserable and was a bummer to watch. I think like you said originally, it may have just been her schtick.
For me, personally, my favorite guests are the ones who get into watching the porn the most. I loved the enthusiasm of Margaret Cho, Kathy Griffin and Jim Norton. I am not even a great fan of their stand-up but they were all great for this show.
This is a really neat show, I think.
I have to disagree about Amy Schumer. I thought she was hilarious. I laughed more with her as the guest than any other guest so far.
