Then again, this might not be totally a porn star thing: Rod Steiger, describing a scene from In the Heat of the Night, talks about himself slapping Sidney Poitier and Sid slapping him back. Problem is, it's not Rod who does the slapping in that scene, it's Larry Gates as Mr. Endicott who Virgil (Poitier) suspects of committing the murder that drives the movie's plot.

Nothing really to do with drugs. It's just that they did them for money not artistic satisfaction, and often never SAW the finished product. So how would they remember an individual day in a string of hundreds if not thousands of similar days? It just isn't important enough for them to remember in many cases.
It's a lot more memorable to fans.
the same can be said for actors in TV or movies though
shareAlso porn stars often had/have about 20 or 30 movies coming out in one year. Not to mention doing a lot of loops in those days as well. Working that much, things would probably become a blur after a while.

Yeah, it doesn't surprise me that they don't remember much. Still, I enjoyed the shows of this I saw where they would bring the old porno actresses like Ginger Lynn or Christy Canyon out to watch their old movies and remember what ever they remember.
Those episodes definitely work a lot better than when they bring some current porn stars out to watch old porn clips. Belladonna and Kristina Rose and that bunch really need to be DOING porno scenes, not talking about them.
