How did this ever make it to a second episode?

- The host has a sad face throughout the show.

- He expresses ZERO enthusiasm.

- He mentions his religion often, but not his own passionate experiences.

- He lacks energy and interest to even flirt with the curvey ladies sitting next to him.

- He is unfamiliar with modern adult lingo.

It is actually pretty shocking to see the contrast in energy and enthusiasm comparing the host to any guest sitting next to him.

This is another naughty cable show best watched with the sound off.

You don't seem to understand that this is comedy and not a genuine porn review show, or whatever you were expecting.

I think it's safe to assume from this post that you don't know who Dave is. Everything you described is exactly why he's awesome. That's his shtick. He's one of my favourite comedians, and I loved his show Insomniac. I think maybe if you knew who he was and were familiar with his work/material, you'd have a different opinion about this show.

Yes, I was taking this series at face value and did not know it was a Steven Wright shtick put-on show.

With comedy, people can have very different tastes. Some people like low energy deadpan humor, other people like a high energy presentation such as with Rodney Dangerfield and Robin Williams.

There is no right or wrong, so I stand corrected. I am a viewer of this show, but not a listener.

Changed my Dish package to include Sho & TMC this weekend. I found this show, Dave's Old Porn, to be a snooze-fest.

Lisa Lampanelli referring to her vagina as the C-word, that's funny? Maybe funny to teens.

Ron Jeremy should ride a bicycle once in a while. What a fat, disgusting pig.

Steven Wright is the only comedian that can pull off that shtick, and make it funny.

Ron Jeremy should get in SHAPE? Lol! Why, so you can blow him? Why would you care what shape RJ is in? He's a Porn clown, it's his gig.

And Dave Attell is MUCH funnier at low key ad libs than Steven Wright. SW does his pre written stuff just fine, but it's a different approach.

No comparison - why bother?

Well, first off, most comedians would not DO a show like this.

Second, I'm glad he's laid back and doesn't waste his time "flirting" because that is always 100 percent phony. Porn actresses always act like total sluts as part of their schtick, but I doubt they just have sex with anybody that asks off camera because that might seriously jeopardize their career if they caught something. Also, I don't generally want to watch male hosts flirt with their female guests because it's just embarrassing. Do you really want to watch David Letterman flirt with Jennifer Lawrence or Bill Maher flirt with Ariana Huffington?

This isn't a great show really, but having some drooling sex fiend like the Unknown Comic doing it would make it worse not better.
