not bad

I own a video store in Michigan and we got this today and I just watched, and it was not that bad. I was disappointed it had nothing to do with the first one, and it was not an A+ movie, but it did keep my interest. The premise was good and the acting was not that bad. There are a few things I would change but since no one else has posted I do not want to say my changes as they would be spoilers.

i am glad someone else liked it. The movie was not that bad at all it was a shame it was not longer. As soon as they enter the house the atmosphere of the movie changes and the mood becomes intense and the actors performance becomes very real and that eerily background music is chilling. Its sad too see no one else has rated this movie in a positive way though i wish another 10 mins would of helped if we were shown what they were up against.

I agree with you guys...
This film wasn't horrible.... It HELPS if you 1: Like found footage movies and 2: Have an interest in Hollywood legend and lore. I happen to love both! So, at least for me... This film had some saving grace.
I have been on a few trips like the two couples take... Through L.A's "dark underbelly." And while it's been a while since I've done those tours, the places that they go... Either ARE the real places... Or REALLY LOOK like the real places. For that reason alone, I'd give this film a thumbs up. It's always really cool when you base your "found footage" movie in fact... (Even if you don't intend to stay there that long...) It makes the story more believable.

But a lot of people are saying this is the worst "found footage" movie ever made... Anyone who says that HASN'T seen "Alien Origin" (Video 2012). THAT film makes "Knock Knock 2" look like "Gone With The Wind."
I challenge anyone: Sit thorough "Alien Origin". You will realize how bad a movie can be. All of a sudden... "Knock X2" isn't so bad at all.

POV movies have began to grow on me i did not like them at first. I had watched the blair witch but never liked it but in recent years tend to look forward to them and yes there are so many awful lost found footage mockumentarys and are barely unwatchable but this movie i enjoyed the history lessons before it went in to overdrive.

If you like that portion of the movie (the trip through LA) Might I suggest a couple DVDs?
One is called Dearly Departed Hosted by Scott Michaels. This guy knows EVERYTHING about Hollywood's "dark side." It's a great documentary, and Scott goes all over LA showing you where people died... Only this is all done in the daytime.
The other documentary, also by Scott Michaels is called The Six Degrees of Helter Skelter. It's a great Manson doc...
both of these DVDs are available on Amazon and each one is like 5 bucks each. I have them both... They are great.
