Anyone watch this movie premiere on HBO Having trouble with sound

There is an echo that is fading in and out of every other scene or so. I thought it might be my dvr or the channel but I have worked every alternative and its still there and it is the only movie acting this way. Its like they are speaking through a metal pipe every 10 seconds then it sounds fine for 10 seconds. I was wondering if this occurs on the dvd. Thanks

Yes, me too tonight.

I think I am taking all of this rather well.

I just tuned in to this movie and thought it was my TV! But yeah, happening here too. Almost too annoying to watch, I'll have to try another time.

Thank God someone else has noticed this...I looked all over the web to see it if was mentioned or noticed by anyone and found nothing. It's very annoying and I have not been able to watch the movie because of it. But going by the reviews, I am not missing anything...

I can't watch the movie because of it. I cannot believe that HBO is not aware of the defect in their copy of this movie. I searched google with every combination of words I could think of and no other board is commenting on this problem.
The echo is so distracting. It is not just the premiere. Every time I see it on the schedule, I check it out, and the echo sound is there.

it's happening to me too. Very annoying. It just doesn't sound right.

Who's... laughing... NOW?!? BZZZZZZ (hack hack spurt spurt) HA HA HAAA BZZZZZ HA HA HAAA

I sent HBO an email. They responded that they are looking into it. I directed them to this board. Lol. We'll see...

Hahaha thanks! I've been messing with my levels and settings for 20 minutes! I actually recorded it onto DVD from HBO, and thought my DVD player was messed up. Thanks again IMDB and especially the OP!

I just watched the dvd and had the same sound issues. It must be the way it was filmed, which is really annoying. It bothered me the whole way through.

The DVD in Norway has the same issue. I think it's a problem which may have occured in production. This being a rather low budget movie, may have made it too expensive or impossible due to new film jobs to call in a movie star like Matt Damon come back to read again.
However, this is only a problem in a couple if scenes. So no reason not to watch. In the next scene it's OK again.
But the sound is actually rather low in the mix through the whole film, probably due to this problem.
But it's a good film, and don't let this ruin your enjoyment.

I'm watching it on Netflix now; the sound is terrible. I had to turn the sound up, so some scenes are too loud and others are muffled. I can understand there could have been problems recording, but they could have looped the sound.

Just after I posted this, Krasinski got up at open mike and you can barely hear him. He's supposed to be amplified.
