Brain Murphy

I'm just thrilled to get to see my very favorite British comedic actor ever have at least a small ongoing part in a new series after discovering him decades ago in "George & Mildred" and "Man About The House" (for my money his character was the best thing in the "Man" series and I always waited for him and Yooth Joyce's characters to pop up as the Ropers in the episodes).
Seems like a truly lovely person from what i've seen of interviews and read about him.
Here's to seeing Mr Murphy much more and for a long time to come.

I remember seeing Mr. Murphy in an episode of the "Lord Peter Wimsey Mysteries," starring the great Ian Carmichael.

In addition, Mr. Murphy was also a regular during the last few seasons of the very popular and long-running British comedy series, "Last of the Summer Wine".

I agree that Mr. Murphy is a terrific actor.

He brings a smile to my face every time he pops up unexpectedly somewhere. I've even purchased a DVD of a movie I knew nothing about (can't recall the title now) simply because he was in it.
I'm actually glad that there's things he's done that i have still yet to see-something to look forward to.
I have only caught "Last of the Summer Wine" on episodes he wasn't in, so i'm very much looking forward to seeing that show again and next time catching his episodes. Right now "Last" isn't playing here on my local stations that carry Britcoms here in the New York area.
