What was scary about this rubbish?

One of the most boring horror films I've seen. As there were no subtitles on the dvd either, I found it really hard to understand what was being said. This is in addition to barely being able to see a damn thing. What on earth was it all about? Dis she really cut her leg? What was the black smoke? What were they needed for? Load of rubbish
