Even IMDb is in on it...

Go the search-field on top of the page, type in "Bananas", and you won't get a match for the documentary "Bananas!*" (although this docu and the W. Allen movie).
Even if you try "see all results".
So...what other reason could be that it has been removed as a doable search on this page?
Yes, "Bananas!*" has a page like any other movie here on IMDb, BUT its not searchable; I found through a link in the "Movie connections" to this movie.

Very disappointing IMDb.

Shoot straight, you bastards - don't make a mess of it!

Maybe IMDB are sponsored by Dole or afraid of any lawsuit they might get if they actually did what they're supposed to do; providing proper info about all kinds of movies no matter what the subject. It's probably a censorship thing. Freedom of speech is not OK in most countries and not even in some of the western countries.

It is strange, although I'm sure not a conspiracy. :)

If you search for "Bananas" (no quotes, btw) you get a list of films, but the Bananas documentary is not one of them. If you search for "Bananas!*" (again, no quotes) you do get the return. I'm guessing it's because of the odd characters included in the name. This is a technical issue, not a conspiracy. In other words, it would return properly if the title were "Bananas !*" with a space in between. Otherwise the database would return results for all words including partial words, which would kind of be a nightmare.

Hope this makes sense!
