Awful, awful, awful. The movie was amazing

I am I know they want to make a tv show out of it but, from the trailer I watched I was really bored with it. Do not watch it, just the movie. I hope they can make up there minds and make a movie sequel to it. Woody, Jesse, Emma, and Abigail are all prefect and the movie. Plus it's one of my favorite zombie movies.

What do you think about the show? Do you agree with me?

reply

I think I hear any chance of a theatrical sequel breathing its last breath.

I'm about to watch it just to see what it's like but the trailer didn't even make me smile. So I'm not sure what to think.

Pilot was well put together in my opinion. Aside from the made for tv recast. The plot of the first episode actually worked well for me. Initially I was like, well why don't they just make an all new group of survivors, but after seeing it I like the fact that their reputation already proceeds them in our minds. If you don't like Zombieland the film, you wont like the show, because its pretty much the same pace. In a family road trip setting I feel the show can go in so many directions. I mean I got a recall to the Borderlands videogames when they introduced "detroit" the on-star guide of Zombieland. Its such a useful plot device. The pilot helps to establish that this group of misfits, although fine with each other is ultimately alone in their quest to rebuild the world, and yet failing to find other people. Rather keeping them alive. I liked it but its definitely not for everyone- with pre-teens dropping f-bombs and vagina jokes, the only time we might see this on cable is if showtime or HBO picks it up. I say bring it on.

Originally Zombieland was intended to be a tv series, but they went with the movie. I loved the movie, but this TV series does not look appealing. I know that Woody said he was excited to make a sequel-probably because the massive amount of weed he smoked in GA during the shooting.

I am hoping for a sequel, but this TV series looks like it might mean the end to any such hope...

Sequel or tv-series with original cast would work but changing the most awesome zombie movie cast of the century wont. I'd actually like to see Zombieland as tv-series with Woody, Jesse, Abigail and Emma.

reply

Zombieland sucked, so it's no surprise this would too.

Go watch more Fast Furious movies, idiot.

It's not as good as the movie, they need to go farther with the scares and dialogue. The leads need more personality, though I thing the nerdy guy in the show is better and less annoying. It's too safe, maybe they can work on that in future episodes. I was mildly entertained, I loved the first scene and some of the gags. It was OK. I see where it needs improvement, but I can see how it could become boring. They need to punch up the horror aspects, flesh out the characters, and have less one liners and more funny dialogue.

I'm willing to watch how it progresses for another couple episodes. Zombie comedy needs more intensity and balance between the humor and the horror. Here,it was all lightweight and too "Disneyland". Cursing doesn't make it edgy.

Fast & Furious is good, dumbass, or do you not like well-made action films? Yeah, thought so retard. Plus, this show was easily one of the worst things to ever be created. The movie was incredible, but this was a failure, wrapped in even more failure

reply

The movie wasn't great but this is pretty awful.

The opening scene was kind of funny though

reply

You do realize that most zombie/action movies are equivalent to the Fast & Furious movies quality wise right?

reply

If you honestly liked Zombieland, it might have been because you never watched Shaun of the Dead.

reply

Or because it was a good movie, i like Shaun to tho, but i fail to see how liking Shaun should make you dislike Zombieland?

reply

I have seen the movie about 2 or 3 times and it was a lot better than the crappy pilot. There is no chemistry between the actors taking over from the movie ones.

reply

There's a girl in the garden.

reply

Liked them both a lot! Sorry you are tied to liking just one film. Is it that way with other genres? Are you able to like, for example, two sci-fi films simultaneously?

And did you say "honestly" because you know of people who secretly dislike Zombieland but they pose as fans?

reply

I really don't have any desire to see this show. I was not a fan of the movie so a show based on it doesn't sound very interesting. The movie wasn't a bad film, but I just could not fully enjoy it. Even after a second viewing. As for zombie/comedy films, the only one I truly enjoyed was the first Return of the Living Dead from 1985. That is one of my favorite zombie flicks. Too bad the sequels were mostly terrible...

I'm just a guy that likes horror flicks.

I couldn't make it through the pilot. gave it 13 minutes though several of those I was browsing in a different tab.
