Replace Hardwick

Really bothers me when he treats a call in/questioner like they're stupid because of their question when he's countless times conveyed a complete lack of understanding of what's going on in the show. Would much rather have the show hosted by someone else.

Also, his constant hanging onto the coattails of a guest's humor is really annoying. Someone makes a funny joke then he tries to make it his own by basically saying the exact same thing they just said, only slightly differently and infinitely less funny. I don't understand the appeal of this guy.

So true. He doesn't have half of your charm or personality.

reply

@peacetoker: Disagree with everything you said. However, if I felt that way about a show or host I simply wouldn't watch. Just saying.

It must be absolutely beautiful in that black and white world of yours, where you have no interest in the content of a television show if the presenter is horrid.

Chris Hardwick is the worst presenter in television... of any program.

reply

Yes, it is quite beautiful. Thank you. How amazing that you've been able to see and watch every single show everywhere with that type of programming set up to able to make such a claim. Extraordinary!

reply

Again with the black and white thinking. So cute.

You are literally the best robot.

reply

Thank you so much for the compliment. Much appreciated.

I think Chris Hardwick is doing a GREAT job! He has some good questions and keeps it moving at a quick pace. Some guests have been really terrible, though.

I agree, I think Chris Hardwick is doing a fantastic job. He handled the awful cluster that was Manson and then JB Smoove ridiculously well. And when his father died, the show had to go on, and it did. He's a class act.

reply

He did??? I don't recall him doing much to put an end to Manson's endless rambling.

reply

It was subtle but I remember that too. At one point he commented "wow, you actually put a whole sentence together" and Manson did a double take.

reply

I thought he's done a great job thus far as host, he makes the show entertaining.

reply

Who would you rather see host the show?

______________
"Your wife's on my Wham-O"

reply

He's truly a fan of the show. It's not his job to KNOW everything. His job is to mediate and guide the conversation. Also, his lack of knowledge is refreshing simply because you feel like you're having a conversation with other true fans, not being spoke down to by insiders.

As the other person said, if he makes the show unenjoyable for you, you shouldn't watch. Life is too precious to waste time on things you don't like.

You people are the disease, but I've got the cure. ~Morgan on "Chuck"

reply

They need to ditch him. He's not funny, not engaging, has no interview skills... wtf is he doing there? Is he someone's son?

reply

Well it just goes to show different people like different things. Clearly a lot of people like Chris and I doubt he'll be going anywhere anytime soon. I think one of the things that appeals to a lot of people is that he's clearly a fan of the show, not just there to give paid studio soundbites. A bunch of geeks watching a show like this want to chat it up with another geek, not yet another late night chat host who spends half the show doing stale stand-up and the other half on awkward interviews with a standard question list that every other talk show host has already asked. It feels more like a fun conversation with friends when I watch. And it looks like most of the people who have been on were having a lot of fun. I'm sorry he doesn't do it for you. I'm one of the ones who like him.

Fair enough, I just don't find 27 mullet jokes in a 19 minute show a sign of talent.

Everyone is someone's son, Noah.

He's mediocre and non-offensive, perfect for these talk-type shows. Furthermore if Walking Dead was on NBC, CBS, and the rest, it would get cancelled possibly in two seasons. Rick Grimes not the protagonist the networks like and you can bet they'd recast a strong matronly type or someone like her in the lead with less gore more hugging and "you can do it" speeches. So hats off to AMC, at this time, by allowing the show to succeed so I'll overlook Hardwick.

reply

I can't stand the douche bag. He comes off as phony and insincere.
