Why not just...
..build a rocket at the NASA JPL and fly our nuclear waste as far as we can into outer space, then detonate it?
Why does this crap have to be buried on Earth?
Am I missing something here?
The risk of a launch-pad disaster, or collision in the atmosphere, that then spreads that nuclear waste across the entire planet, is too great.
