It's actually a pretty good movie if you aren't expecting another Django Unchained or even another Die Hard.

It's fun. Which probably makes all the guys watching movies with calculators in their hands in the theater kind of nuts.

Oskars problem with Eli is not her ambiguous gender, but her ambiguous humanity.

If you consider this movie "pretty good" then I've got some beach-front property in Nebraska I will sell you. Not sure how anyone could think this was even decent.....it was absolutely horrible and stupid.

As an expert on movie quality, please explain how Big Game scores 72% on rottentomatoes, and Jurassic World is scoring 71%.

Well, JW is not a good example - it's a very average, even mediocre, film. Quite entertaining while viewing, but forgettable as soon as you step outside the cinema.

you reckon you'll make a profit on that re-sale, bud?

It was not straight to DVD. It played theaters in Europe and other international sites from March through June (2015), and then was available on VOD June 26, 2015. It made $4.5M vs $9M prod budget. Some large foreign markets have not reported yet, including Italy, Germany and Japan. It is playing limited in US theaters now.

This movie is scoring 73% (Critics) on rottentomatoes.com.

And a movie is seldom planned as straight-to-DVD. That happens when the filmmakers are unable to get a distributor to release it in theaters.

That's not a big criticism anymore of movies. A lot of straight to dvd stuff is better than the crap Hollywood blockbusters that tie up all the theatres at multiplexes these days
