n homage to the great "Shoeless Joe (Samuel L.) Jackson?
Good one Doc.
The camera made such a big deal about him leaving his shoe behind.
This didn't seem to be a factor in Joe's / Jackson's survival.
So, why make this part of the flick?
He finds another's bloody shoe - so?
He lost his shoe near the beginning and later - happy ending - gets his shoe back?
This must be something "lost in translation".
The shoes of the presidency were too big for him to fill? - and in the end - he is transformed? and "the shoes fit"? ughh!
