OK

Starts out ok but the more it tries to explain itself the more it falls apart to leave you with an almost deliberately stupid cliché.Where Eden Lake was a very possible scenario this starts with a wasteland and goes nowhere.

I disagree...

'EDEN LAKE' which is a FAR more polished film with a lot more money behind it, is basically a glorified 'Torture Porn' film with the usual 'Will they survive or won't they' Twists... Not to say that it was not well done, not at all. That is, IF that is the kind of film you like, then by all means it's a great film. But, for me personally, that kind of movie holds absolutely NO interest at all; just my taste, but I respect yours... Now, a movie that is almost a completely flipped reverse of 'EDEN LAKE' that I really DID like very much, was the extremely entertaining 'AGGRESSION SCALE'. In that film, instead of it being a straight forward 'Are the bad guys gonna kill (or torture) the good guys', to me it is a VERY clever twist on that where the bad guys who are fully intending to kill the entire family of good guys finds out that they are dealing with a LOT more than they had thought, and like 'EDEN LAKE', the source of their inventive misery is coming from a young person.

However, remember that this movie here is an EXTREMELY low budget film with mostly unknowns (well, except for 'Auntie') Also, they are employing a VERY Pitch Black humour here; so black that it is almost opaque. Also, you have to see where the film makers are coming from in creating this mythology about this neighbourhood and also buy into the VERY unique premise that it is based upon. So, to a person who does not care for that type of film or who rolls their eyes and just thinks it's 'Stupid' (like a few reviewers said explicitly here) then it just isn't gonna do anything for you and you won't enjoy it.

Just like I would have absolutely NO interest in watching a film like 'EDEN LAKE', but for people who conversely really get into that kind of 'Realism' I can totally see how they would really like it...

I have over 5000 films, many of them very rare and OOP. I LOVE to trade. PLEASE ASK!

Eden Lake was a Daily Fail look at stuff. Not horror just prejudice, down to the villains names.
This movie was actual horror

I didn't see the entirety of this. I thought it started quite well and then just descended into the usual blood/gore/violence/depravity crap. I felt absolutely sick to my stomach with the dead animals and people in the weed planter. Been a good while since a film disturbed and disgusted me like this did.

Yeah, I curled my toes many times in that movie. There was enough humour to make it less awful though
