Life as seen by the dumb and blind...

They have eyes but can't see, and they have ears but can't hear, and they have brains but they can't process a basic concept!

They've figured out the microscopic structure of the universe, but have failed to aknowledge what has caused these elements to fuse or explode.
They can see that the earth was tilted; just enough to produce seasons, and the moon was close/far enough to stabilize the rotation of the planet and produce a liveable 24hr days, yet they can't figure out why.
They have developed telescopes that allowed them to see stars and planets trillions billions miles away, and see all of their precise harmonious movements and orbits, that's been going on for billions of years, all of this knowledge and the're dumbfounded at the explanation.

They are like the donkeys who carried man's books, the knowledge contained in those books didn't make the donkey any smarter.
