Chase Scene Not Believable (Spoilers)

This movie was okay until the final act when the long chase scene takes place.

With multiple characters running around expansive mountains and forests, no matter which way everyone ran, and how fast they ran, they all end up in the same place at the same time over and over again. It's simply not believable.

It also wasn't clear why she decided to get naked in the snow, or why the hunter shot the other guy to save her and then immediately tried to kill her himself.

I didn't find the chase scene so out of line with the rest of the movie. They are not running in random directions. After all, one character is actually called The Hunter so it's conceivable he is tracking them and indeed, that is what is depicted in the movie.

As for her getting naked, who knows? Maybe it's just a way to get her naked and call it art.

I believe the mayor shot both the hunter and the butcher. His presence is just not revealed into the end.

pat, i agree w/ you. the ending chase in the 2nd half of the movie fits perfectly with what came before it. i admit the only part i thought was stupid was when she's hiding out/sleeping in the cave. she's naked. then it shows the hunter sleeping at the same time and HE'S FREEZING COLD!! yet she's not cold at all. wouldn't it make more sense to have SOME clothes on rather than none? and i don't get why she didn't put her dress back on before heading back out to her place (through the snow).

other than that i loved the movie. Sophie was incredible as "The Girl".

Her clothes are wet hanging on the rocks behind her, which makes sense, sleeping in wet clothes in the cold is a no-no.
