saw this late, and was disappointed

I realize this movie came out in 2012, but I've got to admit: I was disappointed. Where was Elle McPherson? Kathy Ireland? Linda Evangelista? Helena Christenson? Nikki Taylor? Cindy Crawford? Brooke Shields? Most of these folks were supermodels in the 80s, while the bulk of those interviewed were from the 70s and earlier, but it seemed like they were working with a pretty loose definition of supermodel. And with the exception of Christie Brinkley, Christy Turlington, Cheryl Tiegs, and Beverly Johnson, a lot of these folks weren't considered supermodels: just models. Beyond that, it was annoying to me that they rarely offered any detail or stories that better illuminated their lives. Jerry Hall was married to Mick Jagger. Christie Brinkley appeared in all kinds of videos and movies, and used her fashion career to launch other business endeavors. Christy Turlington also has a number of businesses and does a lot of philanthropy work. Nothing about what they used their money for and how their careers changed with adulthood was mentioned at all. This stuff is a lot more interesting to me than whether or not someone had their eyes done. And I'm sure they all had stories galore about the dark side of the fashion industry, but instead of illuminating that they focused on the fluff. And that's basically what it was: an adorable fluff piece. What a wasted opportunity.
